Freshman Admissions
Freshmen applicants for admission should send the following credentials by the posted deadline

Freshman Admission Requirements
Full Freshmen Admission
1. Be a graduate from a regionally accredited high school recognized by KSU.
2. Complete the Collegiate Preparatory Curriculum including 4 English, 4 mathematics beginning with Algebra I, 3 natural sciences including Physical Science and two laboratory sciences, 2 foreign languages in the same language and 3 social sciences including US History, World History, Economics and Government.
3. Satisfactory scores on the SAT or ACT. Full standing admission requires a 950 combined minimum on the SAT (minimums of 490 Verbal/Critical Reading and 460 Mathematics). As an alternative KSU will honor a minimum ACT score in English and Mathematics of 17 with a composite of 20.
4 Admission is a selective process. Meeting the application deadline or minimum standards does not guarantee acceptance. It is the responsibilty of the applicant to review the admission standards in advance to understand the likelihood of eligibility.
5. Academic grade point average minimum of a 2.5 (C+) as calculated by KSU.
Learning Support Freshman Admissions:

Minimum/Learning Support SAT requirements: Prospective students must have a combined 950 minimum on the SAT (minimums of 430 Verbal/Critical Reading and 400 Mathematics).

Please Note: The Essay portion of the new SAT will not be used for the Admission decision before 2007, but it is required to complete the file.
* All freshman students applying for admission into KSU must meet the freshman requirements, which include the College Prep Courses that are taken in high school, prior to graduation. The College Prep Courses include 4 units of English, 4 units of Mathematics, 3 units of a Natural Science, 3 units of a Social Science, and 2 units of a Foreign Language and graduate from a recognized accredited high school.

Applicants must submit all required official documents and test scores necessary to support the application process. If applications or transcripts are deemed irregular, incomplete, unofficial, altered or not authentic the applicant risks delay or disqualification. Any applicant found misrepresenting or falsifying records is subject to the KSU student code of conduct and is subject to judicial action or withdrawal.

If a student is not selected for the process called verification, the complete processing time for financial aid is four weeks. If a student is selected for verification the complete processing time for financial aid is six to eight weeks.
Official Acceptance Notice:
Decisions regarding acceptance are not final until issued in writing. Conversations, e-mail, and phone discussions regarding acceptance are only preliminary and not conclusive. Should subsequent information be discovered after a decision is rendered that disqualifies the applicant, then the acceptance will be withdrawn.
Official decisions regarding entry to the University are mailed in writing directly to the mailing address listed on the application for admission. Electronic status notices are also available during the admission process, but are tentative. KSU reserves the right to withdraw or amend any decision according to University or System policies. Additionally, KSU may table any decision action until sufficient interviews, testing or documentation has been satisfactorily completed.
Freshmen or transfer freshmen applicants who fall below the minimum requirements to admission at Kennesaw State University are encouraged to follow an alternative path which may ultimately lead to eligibility at Kennesaw State University.
